A West Allis family is planning funerals for two of their sons. Over the weekend, the two teens were shot in their own home. West Allis High School students are having trouble believing two of their own are gone.

"I was shocked," said Remontae Blakely.

"I couldn't believe it was them," said Donovan Peavy.

Police say a shooting during an attempted robbery Sunday left Croshian "CJ" Edwards, Jr., 19,  dead. His brother Tarjan "Trey" Edwards, 17, died Tuesday afternoon.

Donovan Peavy says he and Trey played basketball on the school's rec team together.

"He was a good guy. He was always competitive, but he was just a fun guy to be around," said Peavy.

CJ was a three-sport athlete at West Allis. The 19-year-old graduated and was playing basketball at UW-Waukesha.

Police say a 14-year-old was behind the shooting. He ended up in a standoff with a SWAT team before giving himself up. The Edwards' stepfather Sijo Baldwin says the suspect had been visiting Trey.

"Why would something like that happen in the home? So it was disbelief," said Baldwin.

The school's basketball team says they've talked about what happened at practice, and they are pulling together.

"We were talking about how we should be safe and how we should be there for one another," said Blakely.
