The former Milwaukee police officer Dominique Heagga-Brown who was acquitted of homicide in the shooting death of Sylville Smith pleaded not guilty to sex assault charges Monday.
The investigation includes four victims, two of which claim they were sexually assaulted. One of those assaults allegedly happened the night after the shooting.
The homicide Heaggan-Brown was acquitted of earlier this year sparked the unrest in Sherman Park last summer.
