RAYMOND — A driver has been cited after a crash involving two Jeeps.

The Racine County Sheriff's Office says shortly after 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, officers were called to 76th Street and Highway G in the Village of Raymond for a report of a rollover accident.

When deputies arrived, they found one Jeep overturned with significant roof damage and two people trapped inside. The Racine County Sheriff says the two people were conscious, breathing and talking with first responders. Rescue crews were able to remove them from the Jeep and taken to a nearby hospital.

People inside the other Jeep were taken to the hospital to be treated for their injuries.

Deputies say a preliminary investigation found a gray Jeep Grand Cherokee pulling a small wooden trailer was stopped at the stop sign on Highway G at 76th Street. The Jeep then went westbound into the intersection crossing the path of another Jeep Grand Cherokee which had the right of way while traveling northbound on 76th Street.

The driver of the gray Jeep was issued a citation for Failure to Yield Right-of-Way from a Stop Sign.
