MILWAUKEE — A 14-year-old German Shepard had to be euthanized after it was shot during an argument between the owner and a reckless driver, Milwaukee police said.

At around 11:30 p.m. Monday night, police said that a reckless driver nearly struck a pedestrian walking their dog on the 3000 block of North Bartlett Avenue.

An argument ensued between the pedestrian and the driver. Shortly after, the driver fired shots at the victim, MPD said. The pedestrian was not injured but his dog was struck by a bullet. The dog had to be put down because of his injuries.

Milwaukee Police do not have any suspects in custody.
