DNR: Wisconsin teen’s car hit by stray bullet believed to be from a hunter/target shooter

A Columbia County teenager is lucky to be unharmed after a stray bullet hit her car on New Year’s Day.

According to the Department of Natural Resources, the 17-year-old was driving near CTH B at STH 22 at around 4 p.m. when a stray bullets hit the driver side rear window and exited the side passenger window.

The driver was not hit by the bullet, the DNR reported.

The department believes the person who fired the shot was hunting or target shooting.
