MENOMONEE FALLS — A driver in Menomonee Falls is lucky to be alive, after police say a person distracted by their cell phone drove their car straight through a railing on the side of the road.
Photos shared by the Menomonee Falls Police Department Friday show the railing protruding through the vehicle, front to back.
The driver was fortunate to escape from such a serious accident with only minor injuries. But the police department warned the incident should serve as a lesson to all drivers to not be distracted while they drive.
"Distracted driving can end lives. Please focus on the road and drive safely," according to the social media post.
