Froedtert and The Medical College of Wisconsin have earned the Consumer Choice Award from the National Research Corporation for the 12th consecutive year.
The award identifies hospitals that consumers consider to have the "highest quality and reputation" in more than 300 markets throughout the United States. Froedtert is one of the nine hospitals in Wisconsin and the only hospital in Milwaukee to make the list.
“Value in healthcare today is about quality, access, and affordability,” said Froedtert Hospital President Cathy Buck. “As eastern Wisconsin's only academic medical center, we set high goals to ensure a patient-friendly environment where doctors, nurses and staff work together to deliver timely, effective, appropriate care. An annual, nationwide survey of more than 300,000 consumers determines the top hospitals in the United States. Hospitals selected for the award were chosen by people who live in the communities in which these organizations serve.
The winning hospitals score the highest in the following categories:

- Best doctors
- Best nurses
- Best overall image and reputation
