Nearly 100 community members, as well as Police Chief Alfonso Morales, marched together Thursday to the site of the shooting where MPD Officer Michael Michalski lost his life.
When they arrived at the site at 28th and Wright they held a prayer service in the officer's honor.
Officer Michalski died on Wednesday in a gunfire exchange with Jonathan Copeland Junior.
Copeland Junior was wanted for parole violation, heroin possession and domestic violence. He has since been arrested and is awaiting charges.
