MILWAUKEE -- One hundred and forty. That is the total number of homicides in the city of Milwaukee this year.
That is compared to 84 at this time last year.
Milwaukee police said the latest happened around 11 p.m. Monday near 41st Street and Fairmount Avenue on the city's north side.
A 62-year-old man from Milwaukee was killed and police said the shooting appears to be drug-related.
There are no suspects in custody.
