CITY OF GLENDALE — The City of Glendale has canceled its previously scheduled trick-or-treating hours over COVID-19 concerns.
The city's Common Council voted 5-1 Monday evening to take up the recommendation from the North Shore Health Department to not hold the event, Mayor Bryan Kennedy wrote in a post to social media.
The CDC has recommendedmunicipalities to avoid holding the beloved event in a traditional sense, warning that the close contact and sharing of food required in trick-or-treating may hasten the spread of the coronavirus.
