GREENDALE -- It may seem odd to be inside a closed Southridge Mall, but the Caring Easter Bunny allowed children with sensory issues to take pictures with him Sunday.
The goal was to create a controlled environment before all the hustle and bustle of shoppers. Any other sounds and bright lights were shut off for the children.
"There's also not judging piercing eyes from parents," said Stephanie Klaudt, Mother.
Kids were also given coloring books and learn what was about to happen before meeting the Caring Easter Bunny. This event was promoted by Autism Speaks to get the word out to parents who live in Southeast Wisconsin.
