VILLAGE OF CAMBRIA — A Columbia County man lost his life after disappearing at a corn mill in the Village of Cambria Tuesday morning.
The Columbia County Sheriff's Office says just after 9 a.m., they received a report regarding a missing employee at the Didion Corn Mill. Initial reports said he had been working in and around a corn silo in a confined space.
Authorities in the county spent hours trying to find the worker, and eventually found his body in a corn bin.
The Sheriff's Office identified the man as a 52-year-old Waupun resident.
The incident is under investigation by the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).
