KENOSHA -- The body recovered from a Kenosha creek last week has been named by authorities.

Police say the victim has been identified as 51-year-old Brian F. Jurkowski.

The cause of death remains unknown. Detectives say they are still waiting for toxicology reports to come back.

Jurkowski's body was found in Pike Creek off Alford Park Dr. near Carthage College last Monday morning. A passerby saw the body in the river and reported it to police.

The creek is both deep and is known for having a strong current, police say.
