Bay View bar flushes Bud Light in defense of Miller in ongoing beer war

A Milwaukee bar is fed up with Budweiser’s ad campaign targeting Milwaukee’s own Miller Lite.

The campaign started with a Super Bowl ad claiming that MillerCoors uses corn syrup in Miller Lite, which they do, and continued with billboards and radio ads in Brew City.

“Tired of Budweiser talking garbage of our hometown beer, why would we sell something that talks garbage about our city?” said bartender Drew Gricar at Puddler’s Hall in Bay View.

The bar has removed Bud products from their coolers and the menu and recorded a likely soon to be viral video of Bud Light being flushed down the toilet.

“[It] goes in, comes out, straight in the toilet, skip the middle man," said Gricar.

MillerCoors has fought back against the campaign to tarnish the reputation of Milwaukee’s Miller Lite with several blog postson the subject, including one that links to sales data they say shows Miller Light has outsold Bud Light since the Super Bowl ad aired early February.
