CHASEBURG, Wis. (AP) — Authorities say they’ve made an arrest in southwestern Wisconsin homicide.

Vernon County sheriff’s authorities say they got a call from a man at a residence in rural Chaseburg reporting some suspicious activity Saturday morning. And, when deputies arrived they found the body of 75-year-old George Warner, of Snowflake, Arizona, outside the residence.

Officials say Warner was staying at the home with the man who was arrested and that there was an altercation. Sheriff John Spears says a gun was used in the altercation, but Warner’s cause of death has not yet been confirmed.

The suspect was arrested on a possible charge of first-degree intentional homicide.
