Analyzing the Hop's ridership one year later

MILWAUKEE — Happy Birthday to the Hop. It has been one year since the first official ride along Milwaukee's downtown streetcar happened.

Here are the quick and dirty numbers about Hop ridership starting in November 1st 2018.

July was the strongest month for the Hop on multiple levels. It had the highest daily average with 3,343 people hopping on each day. It also holds the record for most passengers in one day with roughly 9,000 riders, which was on July 13, the Saturday of Bastille Days.

*The numbers in February and March aren't exact because of a malfunction in the equipment that tracks ridership.

**Daily ridership for the Hop's opening month leaves out the 16,413 people who went on it during the grand opening weekend.
