MILWAUKEE — American Family Field, known to Wisconsin as Miller Park, tested its new ballpark lights following a $2.1 million upgrade Monday night.

TMJ4 News traffic cameras caught the lights flashing on and off Monday evening. A spokesperson for the ballpark confirmed the bright flashes were part of a test before the season begins.

Right now, the Brewers are set to begin Spring Training in Arizona in the middle of February, per reports from The Athletic.

Installation of the new LED lights began at the end of 2020, according to our news partners at the Milwaukee Business Journal. The lights are supposed to improve fans' ability to see night games at the park and on TV.

The start of Major League Baseball's 2021 season is slated for April 1. The team's first home game is on April 1 against the Twins.
