MILWAUKEE -- Milwaukee has been ranked the 5th most livable city in the United States, according to AARP.

AARP only surveyed cities that have a population of over 500,000 in this study, and did so using seven categories. The categories used were housing, neighborhood, transportation, environment, health, engagement and opportunity.

The highest score of those categories was transportation at 78. The scale used is 0-90+, and 78 ranks in the green. The lowest rank was opportunity at 41. That ranks in the third lowest tier, according to the scale.
