MILWAUKEE -- The 10-year-old girl killed by a stray bullet in Milwaukee earlier this month will be laid to rest Thursday.

The public is invited to say goodbye to Za'layia Jenkins from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at New Pitts Mortuary, 2031 W. Capitol Dr. Her funeral will be at noon at Holy Redeemer, 3505 N. Mother Daniels Way.

Za'layia was hit by a stray bullet on May 5 after a shooting broke out in the street near her house near 15th and Meinecke. She was taken to the hospital and died a few weeks later.

The suspects in her shooting, who police allege fired more than 40 rounds in the street that night, remain at large.

The FBI and a local attorney are offering $40,000 reward for any information that leads to an arrest and conviction.
