TOWN OF LYNDON — The Sheboygan County Sheriff's Office has released the names of involved in a two-car crash that left a man dead Monday afternoon.

Police say 35-year-old Lindsay Baumhardt, a Plymouth police officer, was on-duty of the crash. She was in her squad car and was traveling northbound on State Highway 57 returning to Plymouth from an assignment that took her out of the city. She was not driving in emergency mode, and was not responding to a call.

The Sheboygan County Sheriff's Office says 77-year-old Dennis Teetzen, of Sheboygan, was eastbound on County Road N and failed to yield from or failed to stop for the stop sign at State Highway 57. Police say Teetzen's vehicle crossed the highway into the path of the officer's squad car, resulting in the collision.

Teetzen died at the scene. Officer Baumhardt was taken to Aurora Sheboygan Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.
