MILWAUKEE -- A 70-year-old woman was killed in a car accident Sunday in Milwaukee.
It happened around 3 p.m. at the intersection of Green Bay and Glendale.
Milwaukee Police believe that a 23-year-old driver failed to stop at a traffic signal and struck another vehicle -- which was driven by the victim.
Police say the woman suffered life-threatening injuries and later passed away at a local hospital.
The 23-year-old driver of the striking vehicle stayed at the scene and was taken into custody.
Members of the Milwaukee Police Crash Reconstruction Unit are continuing the investigation.
