CEDARBURG — A 56-year-old Cedarburg man sustained serious injuries after a two-vehicle crash about 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, according to the Ozaukee County Sheriff’s Office.

The man was transported via Flight for Life to Froedtert Hospital.

Police said a 2012 Volkswagen Passat driven by a 19-year-old Mequon man was traveling northbound on Granville Road and failed to stop at the stop sign at County Highway NN and Granville. A 19-year-old female from Minnesota was a passenger in the Passat, police said. They received non-life threatening injuries and were transported to Aurora Medical Center in Grafton.

The 2015 Chevrolet Impala, driven by the Cedarburg man, was traveling westbound on CTH NN.

After the initial impact, the Passat left the roadway and struck a commercial building, police said.

The Impala also left the roadway and struck a residence, police said.

The 19-year-old Mequon man received a citation for failure to stop at a stop sign, causing great bodily harm, according to police.
