5 injured in 3 Milwaukee shootings Wednesday

MILWAUKEE -- Five people were injured across three separate shootings in Milwaukee Wednesday, police say.

The first happened around 5:45 a.m. in the 3100 block of S. 10th St.. A 37-year-old man was shot during a robbery attempt. He drove himself to MPD District Six and is expected to be okay.

Wednesday's second shooting happened right around noon in the 3300 block of N. 35th St. A 22-year-old man was shot during circumstances that remain under investigation, police say. He suffered a serious injury and was taken to a local hospital.

The third shooting was the most violent of the day - injuring three. Police say a 45-year-old man, 22-year-old man, and 34-year-old woman were all shot in the 2000 block of W. Capitol Dr., near a Family Dollar store. They all were non-life threatening injuries.

Police say the shootings don't appear to be related at this time.
