26-year-old arrested after entering a home, shooting victim

MILWAUKEE — A 26-year-old man was arrested Sunday after he entered a home and began shooting the 23-year-old man inside.

Police say the incident occurred around 7:45 p.m. in the 2000 block of N. 28th Street near West Brown Street.

The 26-year-old entered the home and began firing. That's when the 23-year-old returned fire.

Both men were injured during the incident and were taken to a local hospital. According to the Milwaukee Police Department, both are expected to survive.

The 26-year-old man was taken into custody, and the incident is under investigation.
