A 29-year-old woman is dead after a late-night shooting on Sunday, Milwaukee police said.
The victim and another woman were traveling west on the 100 block of W. Clarke Street at 11:55 p.m. when a suspect approached them in another vehicle and fired multiple shots into the victim's car, police say.
The shooting caused the victim to crash into the side of a building.
The 29-year-old woman was pronounced dead at the scene. The other woman was taken to an area hospital for treatment. Police are searching for unknown suspects and do not believe the shooting was random.
