The 20th Annual TODAY'S TMJ4 Sports Auction 4 MACC is today.
All of the proceeds from the two-hour, live auction go toward the MACC Fund which supports research for childhood cancers and related blood disorders. The current cure rate is 80 percent, but there is always fear the cancer will return. MACC Fund supported researchers work every day to make sure that does not happen.
Also, what makes this year extra special is it's the MACC Fund's 40th Anniversary so there will be special anniversary stories and messages from major athletes who've helped raise money for the MACC Fund.
TODAY'S TMJ4 anchors George Mallet, Carole Meekins, John Malan, Lance Allan and Brian Gotter will be leading the auction. They will be updating the bids, showcasing the items and interviewing guests.
