MILWAUKEE — A vehicle smashed into a second car at a high rate of speed, slamming the rear of the vehicle into the air, after being pursued by another vehicle in Milwaukee, police say.
A preliminary investigation from MPD found that a red sedan was being chased by a known suspect in a second vehicle in the 4300 block of West Hampton Avenue around 7:30 a.m. Monday.
That's when the driver of the red sedan disregarded a red traffic light and crashed into a third, white vehicle, heading northbound.
Photos from the scene show the red vehicle resting on top of a large rock, with the rear of the vehicle several feet in the air.
The occupants of the two crashed vehicles went to local hospitals, the driver of the white vehicle with serious injuries.
The driver of the pursuing vehicle is still on the run, MPD says, and they are looking to identify that person.
