VILLAGE OF CYLMAN -- Two Dodge County residents are being treated for serious injuries after their upper apartment deck collapsed onto a concrete driveway Saturday evening.

It happened just before 9 p.m. at an upper level apartment unit on top of Mercer T's Bar & Grill -- located at 962 Main Street in the Village of Cylman.

According to the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office, a 46-year-old woman and a 40-year-old man walked out on the deck and it collapsed under them. They fell with the deck onto the concrete driveway below. Both were conscious and alert when authorities arrived.

The man was immediately flown by Flight for Life to Aurora Summit with serious injuries. The woman was transported by Beaver Dam Paramedics to Beaver Dam Community Hospital also with serious injuries. She was later flown to Aurora Summit.

The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office made contact with the building owner who advised that the deck had been inspected approximately two years ago.
