Mount Pleasant Police are investigating a hit-and-run crash that left an 18-year-old Racine man unconscious in a ditch late Monday night.
Officers responded to the area of State Highway 32/Sheridan Road and Hansche Road around 10:45 p.m.
Early investigations showed that the man had been riding his bike southbound on STH 32 when he was struck by a vehicle.
Responders transported the man to Froedtert Trauma Center in Milwaukee with life-threatening injuries.
Wisconsin State Patrol was contacted to conduct a crash reconstruction scene due to the severity of the man's injuries.
Mount Pleasant Police say the vehicle they believe was involved was found in Kenosha, but they don't have anyone in custody. Police are searching for a known suspect.
