Police said they are trying to find unknown suspects.

Family has identified the teen as Prestin Gill-Pate. They say he was in his senior year of high school and looking forward to starting his first job at Footlocker.

"He’ll do anything for anyone, doesn’t make a difference what it is," said his aunt Priscilla Vickers. "He helped look after his brothers and sisters, he helped keep his mom on track, he became a baby man of our family at the end of the day."

A group of family and friends gathered at the scene Monday afternoon to hold a vigil and balloon release in his honor.
