KENOSHA-- A 16-year-old male student has confessed to writing a threatening message on a bathroom wall at Wilmot High School.

The threat, which included the words "shoot up the school," was discovered on Monday and the Kenosha Sheriff's Department was called. KSD determined that the threat was not credible and school remained in session.

In an updated release, KSD said that the Deputy assigned as the Wilmot School Resource Officer viewed "hundreds of hours of school video before questioning a 16-year-old male student who confessed to the crime."

According to the release, the case has been referred to the Kenosha District Attorney's office and Kenosha County Juvenile Intake for review.
