MILWAUKEE -- One man is dead and a woman is injured after an overnight double shooting in Milwaukee.
Police say the shooting happened just after 1:00 a.m. Thursday in the 2500 block of N. 39th St., near W. Wright St. on the city's north side.
A 32-year-old man was shot several times and died despite efforts to save his life, and a 31-year-old woman was taken to the hospital for a non-fatal gunshot wound, according to police.
The investigation is ongoing and police say the motive and events leading to the shooting are unclear.
