GREEN BAY, Wis. -- Green Bay Police arrested a 60-year-old Green Bay man Thursday after a 13-year-old girl told authorities the man went into the women’s restroom at Shopko, 2430 E. Mason St. in Green Bay, and reached under a bathroom stall while the girl was inside the stall, according to court documents.
The suspect is Richard Schwantes, who told police the incident was a mistake and he had walked into the wrong bathroom, court document said.
A Shopko employee told authorities that she was in the restroom during the incident and she confronted the suspect, court documents said.
A store manager, alerted by the teen girl’s mother, then entered the bathroom, told the suspect to leave, and watched the suspect until police arrived, court documents said.
Schwantes is charged with felony false imprisonment and misdemeanor disorderly conduct.
