The Green Bay Police Department's K9 Drago found 1.6 pounds of raw marijuana in vacuum sealed bags underneath a vehicle in a driveway on April 22nd.

After the marijuana was discovered, police asked to search the residence and found an additional 66 grams of pot.

Police say this happened while K9 Drago was tracking a domestic violence suspect on Reber and Elm Streets. Captain Kevin Warych said through the work of the K9 and officers, the suspect was eventually caught driving a stolen vehicle in Marathon County. The man was on his way back home to Minnesota.

"We are very pleased with the progress of our new department K9 Officers and K9’s," said Police Chief Andrew Smith. “This is the testament of the hard work of all the K9 Officers and K9’s.

"Just last week, K9 Officer Clark and K9 Roco located the escapee from Racine County. It is great to see the hard work from our officers and K9’s,” said Smith.
