OAKFIELD, Wis. -- The Fond du Lac County Sheriff's Department has identified the 19-year-old hiker who died after falling off of a cliff in Oakfield Friday.
They say the victim is Pierce Neighbor.
Deputies say two of his friends called 911 after Neighbor fell from a cliff in the Oakfield Ledge State Nature Area.
First responders dealt with difficult terrain to reach the group of hikers.
Neighbor died at the scene.
Deputies say that foul play does not appear to be a factor in his death.
"It seems to me that those kids did everything they possibly could do to help their friend in a very, very difficult situation," Fond du Lac County Sheriff's Office Lt. Cameron McGee said.
