A hiker fell to his death on a trail in Fond du Lac County, according to the county sheriff.
It occurred on Friday at about 2 p.m.
In a news release, the sheriff said a group of hikers were on at the Oakfield Ledge State Nature area. One of them fell and the rest of the group wasn’t able to find him in the difficult terrain.
First responders later found the hiker, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
The sheriff won’t release the name of the hiker until the family is contacted.
The incident remains under investigation.
