Wisconsin State Park campgrounds reopen June 10

Posted
and last updated

Wisconsin State Park Campgrounds are opening June 10, with special conditions to protect staff and visitors.

The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources said state campgrounds would reopen with a few modifications in place, such as touchless check-ins and the elimination of face-to-face interaction during the reservation process.

Camping reservations will now only be accepted by phone or online and check-ins are no longer required.

Equipment rentals are unavailable and several buildings such as shelters, nature centers, contact stations and more are closed.

DNR encourages visitors to social distance and refrain from gathering in large grounds.
