MADISON, Wis. -- More than 3,000 new positive COVID-19 tests were reported by the state Thursday, setting a new single-day record for positive coronavirus cases in Wisconsin.

3,132 positive COVID-19 cases were reported Thursday, according to the Department of Health Services. That's an increase over the previous single-day record, which was set at 2,887 cases just a week ago.

9 deaths were reported in Wisconsin Thursday.
