WAUKESHA, Wis. -- The 2020 Waukesha County Fair has been canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic, organizers announced Monday morning.

"It is with a heavy heart that the Waukesha County Fair Board came to a unanimous, difficult decision to cancel the 2020 Waukesha County Fair," a statement released Monday reads. "Looking back at the past few months, countless hours invested, and numerous alternate opportunities considered, this was quite honestly the hardest decision ever made – but we know it is the right one."

The Fair will return in 2021 and is currently scheduled for July 21-25.

Those who have already purchased admission tickets for the fair should hold onto them - they'll be valid for the 2021 fair. Main Stage concert tickets will be refundable until July 3.

The Fair says all ticket holders will be receiving a direct email within 48 hours that has more information on refund options.
