MILWAUKEE — The United States Postal Service announced Monday that employees have tested positive for COVID-19 at two South Milwaukee and Delafield locations.

According to the USPS, one employee has tested positive at the South Milwaukee location, and "employees" have tested positive at the Delafield location. However, the number of employees was not disclosed.

In their statements, the USPS said the risk for employees at both locations is low and employees will be kept in the loop as more information becomes available.

Due to more than one positive case at the Delafield location, the USPS has hired a contract cleaner to disinfect the location and to enhance their cleaning protocols.

In both statements, the USPS said, "the safety and well-being of our employees is our highest priority. To ensure the health of our employees, we are continuing to follow recommended guidance and strategies from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)."
