Sen. Ron Johnson will not be traveling with President Donald Trump for his visit to Mosinee tonight due to COVID-19 exposure, Johnson's office said Thursday.

Johnson was informed that he was exposed to someone on Monday who tested positive for the coronavirus, his office said in a statement.

"Sen. Johnson is experiencing no symptoms, but was tested late Wednesday because he was scheduled to travel with the president today," said Ben Voelkel, Communications Director.

Johnson tested negative for the coronavirus but has been placed in quarantine until Sept. 29.

President Trump is traveling to Mosinee for a "Great American Comeback" rally.
