WISCONSIN — Senator Tom Tiffany is calling for Secretary-designee Andrea Palm's resignation after she extended the state's original Safer at Home order.

On Wednesday, the Wisconsin Supreme Court struck down Governor Tony Evers' Safer at Home Order, issued by Palm.

"Secretary-designee Andrea Palm must immediately resign from her appointment as Wisconsin Department of Health Services Secretary," said Tiffany. "The recent Supreme Court ruling confirmed that Ms. Palm's power grab exceeded her authority. Her shotgun approach to lock down Wisconsin has produced disastrous consequences."

The Supreme Court decided in a 4-3 vote that Palm overstepped her authority when issuing the order. Now, Senator Tiffany wants her out. However, since this statement, Governor Tony Evers has fired back, defending his secretary.

"My understanding Sen. Tiffany just released a statement saying he's calling for Andrea Palm to resign... Senator Tiffany, please, you just won an election. Just relax. This is an insane statement" said Evers.

Senator Tiffany just won a seat in the US House of Representatives in a May 12 special election.

"To make a statement like that about someone [who] dedicated her life to saving lives? Please sir. You're headed to Washington, D.C., I know you're better than this," said Evers.

Senator Tiffany wrapped up his statement regarding Palm with this, "Ms. Palm came here as Governor Evers' hired gun, and she will leave with Wisconsin's corpse if she continues."
