WISCONSIN — Wisconsin State Representative Robin Vos received an unexpected package on Thursday that contained dog poop.

The state representative took to Facebook Friday to photos and a comment on the incident.

In his post, he addressed both political parties and stated that even though we are going through a tough time, it is no excuse to send mail like that to anyone.

In his post, Vos said "We can respectfully disagree. We can argue. We can even yell on occasion. But if yelling, swearing, accusing others is your go to response, you need to seriously think about your anger and how to resolve that issue."

Following Vos' post regarding the incident, his opponent, Robert Prailes, dropped out of the race to represent Wisconsin’s 63rd District.

Prailes said he's dropping out of the race due to "some really ugly and personal attacks." He shared the news on Facebook right around the same time Vos made his post.

Prailes wrapped up his post with this, "We need to continue to work to set aside the partisanship that has made things so ugly and dysfunctional, and focus on finding the good in each other again."
