Potawatomi Hotel & Casino remains closed despite lifting of Safer at Home order

The Potawatomi Hotel & Casino announced on Thursday that it would remain closed, despite the lifting of the state's Safer at Home order.

The casino posted on its Facebook page that it will remain closed while staff actively work to "create a safe environment for our team members and guests."

The City of Milwaukee eased public health restrictions to allow more businesses to open. Mayor Tom Barrett announced barbershops, salons, spas, waxing salons, nail salons, tattoo shops and child care operators can reopen. Though he did say restrictions would be in place for those businesses. Though casinos were not included at all in the order, hotels were allowed to reopen if it abides by safe business practices.

The casino said it would post on their Facebook is there were any additional details about an opening date.
