MILWAUKEE — The MKE LGBT Community Center announced it will move its usual programming and counseling virtual starting Nov. 16.

The decision was made under advisement from the CDC, local health department and Governor's office, Executive Director Amy Orta said.

"We want to be responsible and adhere to what is required of us in such a difficult situation," Orta said. "The health and safety of our staff and community are of the utmost importance to us."

The center is still offering many services at this time. The main office is open and taking phone calls, and they are still taking new clients and participants.

Mental health therapy is also available in English, bilingual and Spanish.

For advocacy services, call the main office at (414) 271-2656.
