MILWAUKEE — The Milwaukee County Transit System announced that it would resume fare collection and front door boarding on all buses starting at 4 a.m. on June 1.

MCTS had stopped fare collection and front door boarding to limit interaction between riders and the bus driver amid the pandemic.

The transit system is asking riders who are able to wear a mask to do so while on board.

MCTS will continue to limit riders to 10 per bus.
