MILWAUKEE — The Marcus Theatres movie chain is looking into assisting with vaccine distribution in Wisconsin, our news partners at the Milwaukee Business Journal report.

Marcus Theatres president and CEO Rolando Rodriguez tells the BizJournal that the company is working with Wisconsin health groups, including the Medical College of Wisconsin, on the possible effort.

Rodriguez says the company is willing to use either theaters that are temporarily closed or those that are still open to host vaccine sites. The sites could be indoors or on their theater's parking lots.

That effort could span across Wisconsin, as Marcus Theatres has locations spread out across the state. Sixty-one of those locations are currently operating.

Rodriguez tells the BizJournal other states have approached the company for similar efforts.
