Shoppers at Kohl's will soon be required to wear masks in order to visit stores.

The company announced on Wednesday that a face-covering requirement would soon be in place at Kohl's stores on July 20.

"As COVID-19 cases continue to rise, face-covering mandates have grown to apply to approximately 70% of our store base, therefore we’ve made the decision to take a consistent approach across our entire store fleet. Beginning Monday, July 20, we will require all customers to wear a face-covering while shopping in our stores," said the company in a statement.

Kohl's joins a number of other companies with face-coverings requirements for customers, such as Walmart/Sam's Clubs, Menards, Pick 'n Save/Metro Market and more.

Kohl's said that for those who would prefer not to shop in-store, there would be limited-contact store drive-up service and shipping.
