Google searches for bars surge in Wisconsin following Supreme Court decision

MILWAUKEE — Immediately following the Wisconsin Supreme Court Decision Wednesday night, Google saw a surge in searches for bars and restaurants in the area.

After the decision was announced, many Wisconsinites had one thing in mind: What bars were open.

According to Google Trends statistics, many of the top Google searches following the decision were related to bars. Searches included things like 'what bars are open,' 'bars near me,' and 'wisconsin bars reopen.'

Google searches are ranked on a scale of 0-100 based on popularity. For three straight hours on Wednesday, the searches were sitting right around 100.

The searches increased rapidly almost immediately following the announcement of the Supreme Court decision.

Related topics also included hair salons, the tavern league, and take-out food.
