MILWAUKEE — Goodwill stores in southeastern Wisconsin will not be accepting donations Thursday due to the large abundance of donations this week.

Since reopening their stores, Goodwill has seen overwhelming support through donations. However, due to the sheer amount that was given, the stores are forced to turn down donations Thursday.

According to Goodwill, "teams have been working tirelessly to process incoming donations and will use this Thursday to reset and prepare for the weekend when we expect donation levels to continue at the current pace."

While donations will not be accepted, the stores will remain open for shopping. Goodwill is also urging donors to not rush in and donate everything, but take their time so workers can sort it efficiently.

The southeast Goodwill locations will continue accepting donations on Friday, May 22.
